“Stefan Carlsson has performed excellently as Chairman of the board”, says State Secretary for Social Affairs Karin Johansson. Stefan Carlsson has been chairman during a time of positive development and change at APL and he has contributed to continuity during APL’s detachment and independence from Apoteket AB in 2010. “I am very pleased that Johan Assarsson, who has been a member of the APL’s board since 2010, will take over as Chairman after Stefan Carlsson.”

Since then, a lot has happened both within the company and on the market. I will follow APL’s development with great interest and I wish the company continued success”.
Johan Assarsson has previously been the County Council Chief Executive in Kalmar and Regional Director of Region Västra Götaland. For ten years, John Assarsson has held several top positions in business development and as a health care strategist in Region Skåne. Johan Assarsson is currently commissioned by Swedish government as a special investigator for the new patient regulations and also runs his own consultancy business.
